Join Peter Helfrich, a local beekeeper and chair of the Bee City USA: Decatur chapter for a crash course in honey bees — and the many other types of bees — found right outside your door, why each kind is important and how you can help them.  Free for Wylde Center members. General public: $10. Participation limited to 25.

Sylvia Cross, Art Instigator and Sycamore Place Gallery Owner, will host a bevy of bee-autiful puppet makers at Sycamore Place Gallery On June 21 at 5:30pm. She is excited to be part of the artist Pandra Williams' Bee Business Project and invite the youth of the city to join us in the festive puppet making and spectacular story performance that should heat up this summer's educational celebration of bee -n- bug life! FREE.

During our garden chef weekend demos, special guest cooks from Friends of Refugees will be spicing up the Outdoor Kitchen. In honor of World Refugee Day, cooks from afar will highlight their traditional flavors to serve up tastes with garden fresh ingredients. Come celebrate edible plants and global connections! Free with paid admission.

Pick your fun at the annual "Apple Pickin' Jubilee" where you can pick your own apples, milk a cow, watch our swimming pig races, and watch live bands and cloggers on the Hillcrest Stage. For a list of all our attractions see the visitor's guide. Admission is $12.00 per person. (walking age & up) Festival is held: Sept. 8th - Oct. 28th, 2018 (Saturday & Sunday only).

Don’t miss out on down-home fun at Farm Fair. Typically a spring event, we have moved the date to one of the best harvesting seasons of the year. Get back to your roots and get down in the dirt. Meet live farm animals, bring a picnic, and be sure to plan to spend the day with us!

We provide the fixings, you bring the fun! Wylde Center's annual tradition returns to Hawk Hollow for a late afternoon of roasting marshmallows, catching up with friends, and general fun in our Kirkwood, Atlanta garden. FREE for members $10 suggested donation at the door for non-member families

Bring young goblins dressed in their Halloween best to show off on the Goblin Runway, participate in fall-themed crafts, listen to stories, ride a pony or hop on board the Ride-on-Train!

The Garden is stuffed with fall fun! Enjoy kooky, creative scarecrows handcrafted by businesses, individuals, schools and organizations, or better yet, make your own! Stay tuned for details on another season of fall family events at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The sometimes wild and wacky scarecrows compete for prizes in one of two divisions – professional and nonprofessional – and visitors will delight in discovering their own personal favorites
